Is Bock the most efficient oil fired water heater?

bockTruboflueHow can Bock be any more efficient than other types of oil fired water heaters?

It’s really all about the Heat Exchanging Process & Venting.   (Which are together, one and the same)

Simply put, Bock has a Superior tank venting & heat exchange process design all oil fired Bock tanks have something called Turboflue.  Which is basically, metal fins that go throughout the vent column.   The metal fins captures more heat from the hot exhaust gases before they are released from the top of the tank into the chimney.   The metal fins capture more heat and transfers it into the tank, which is a more efficient heat exchanging process that other competitors.    Bocks website gets a bit more technical about their patented Turboflue® Heat Exchanger here.

Copying Bock’s design:    Although the Turbofle is patented  all the other manufactures have added some kind of fins or baffling system to capture more heat.

Bock oil fired tanks are best Here's a new one about to be installed. Here's an old Bock with outer cover, and inner tank walls cut away. A close look at the fire chamber on the bottom, and the start of the Truboflue system in the center. Here's a close look at the inner steel walls of the inner tank, and the brick fire box on the bottom. A closer look at the Turboflue design. A view from the top, down the exhaust pipe.
